Special Olympics

Updated: Dec 24, 2018

Being a "friend for the day" at Special Olympics is so rewarding and life changing. If you ever have the opportunity to volunteer for a day of Special Olympics, you totally should. You will walk away with such an exhilarating feeling.

Tanille has been in costume for Special Olympics now for 8 years and even though it gets very hot and sweaty, she enjoys the happiness it brings to the participants.

Tanille enjoys how excited the participants were to see her as Elsa and Anna. She played both roles, because the girls who were in the costumes both ended up with heat exhaustion. It was a scorcher outside.

The video says it all. Consolidated Communications has been hosting this for several years. 1500 volunteers are needed.

My co-worker has a special needs child. I have been her friend for a day for a couple of years. I absolutely love SOFF. I encourage everyone to get involved with special Olympics. It is a very rewarding experience.
